Default BAD Dragon Accident

Many of us Mid-A folks enjoy The Dragon...and not a few of us are excited about the upcoming WTD '05. Sadly, I wanted to pass on the following tidbit from this past weekend...

Two die in S2000 wreck near The Dragon (link to thread in Dragonball Forum)

Folks, no one ever likes to post such notices. Least of all me. But I am doing this to remind each of us that the S2000, while extremely well-designed, is not invulnerable...neither are we.

Take care...and remember to hug that someone you love this evening and count your blessings!

Saw that in the Dragon forum, but I have not been able to find anything at www.tailofthedragon.com yet.

The last bit of news from the Gap is back in October.

I posed a question about the accident to my fellow TV buddies in the area. No details yet, only these responses:

The only ones that would have covered this accident would have been WLOS in Asheville (www.wlos.com). I don't know if they did or not since it's near the Tenn. line. I looked on there website and saw nothing up on it about the accident. Hope that helps.

Actually, Deal's Gap is closer to some of the Knoxville stations but I don't recall any of us carrying the story....

That area is quite tricky and takes quite a while to get to.....Usually, we just do readers/copy stories on the accidents that happen down there.....

It's just a regal bitch to get to....

I'm still looking into it.

Very sad. Never been to the Dragon.

Someone posted a few pics just recently of wrecking his car into a tree at 70+. The car looked terrible, the worst s2k wreck I've seen. The gas pedal was hanging out and the passenger door was almost touching the driver door.

And he survived....

Still no one knows about the accident on the TV message board.
