Yep. First event with BMWCCA and SCCA. I'm really looking forward to the course at FedEx. It's gonna be huge.

I think I have a new autoX disease now... I keep missing gates and going off course. I think I had one on-course run out of four at this event.

Then, today at FedEx Field with SCCA, my first run was good, but the last three were off-course. I still didn't place last though.

I finally figured out why people say the RA1's and Nitto NT01's don't warm up as fast. Normally, with CDC and other smaller groups, your runs are within ten or so minutes from each other. With SCCA, I had to wait about 20+ minutes in between runs. My tires never got a chance to warm up. It was still fun though. I'll most likely sign up for the next one too. I actually saw and talked to quite a few CDC autoX folks there.

I hadn't planned on doing the SCCA event, so ended registering late Friday. The competition's pretty good. I think there were around 260 or so cars there. Even if I had a clean run, I wouldn't have beaten the top two guys in my class unless I had Hoosier's or Kumho's. The runs for BSP were around 55-60 seconds. It was also fun watching the shifter karts do their runs. They were quick.

On Saturday, it started pouring about half-way home. We finished just in time.

I took video clips of my runs, but I DNF'ed three out of the four runs, so I'm not sure if they're worth watching. I might still post them next week after I get back from Mid-Ohio.
