I ran in my first autocross out at FedEx field today, and I'm hooked. Thanks to Vic Madrid and his wife, Carrie, for babysitting my wife and I on our first event.

I would like to buy a helmet for AutoX. I live near Catonsville, MD and I'm looking for advice on which helmet to buy and where to purchase it from.

If you can make it to Manassas, I picked up my helmet at OG Racings. They sell Bell products, and have a number of sizes available since the store is connected to the warehouse (they most do online ordering).

I would recommend trying helmets on before you buy, since I'm sure you know by now (if you borrowed at the AutoX event) that all helmets are not created equal. =]

The OG guys are cool and they have helmets you can try on(very important). They have Simpson, Bieffe and Bell's from $200-700.
