Auto-X: August 15th, VA Beach!
Who'd up for heading to VA Beach for the Auto-X on the 15th? I'm headed down with 3 friends from Richmond, anyone else want to tag along? Apparently they have an awesome Auto-X site. Right on the water, nice ocean breeze, sticky concrete!
I get my Saner front swaybar in on Monday and am anxious to see how the car handles with it.
Who else is gonna show up and drive these cars like they were meant to be driven?

Oh yea. 7 Spots left, to register, go to:
http://www.tidewatersportscarclub.co...eg/mainreg.htm
Be sure to both register for the Auto-X, and to email Curtis your name so you can be added to the list so you can get on the base. (It's at a US Navy base from what I understand.)

Normally I would be there but I'll be out of town
It's a fun venue for sure. You'll have a blast!
And make sure you buy a burger to support the guys that let us run there

the site isn't that descriptive of the event. How mcuh does it cost and what time is it? Im going out of town until sunday, but i may be back in time. I will be passing threw Richmond on the way back home, so it could work out nicely.
All the pre-registration spots are frield, but you can still register the day of the event. It just says to get on the access list.

it's usually around 20-25 bucks, first car off is around noon from what i remember. registration opens around 10:30. If you want to show up just be sure to get your name added to the access list so you can get on base to register the day of the event, looks lik e there will be some GREAT weather there that weekend.

I have never been to one of these, could someone answer a few questions for me.
Since i was too late to pre-register and will be the day of the event, what time should i get there? How long do these things usually last? Is it easy to get the cone marks off of the car? If someone who does these things could give me a few pointers it would be appreciated.

Plan on being there until late afternoon. Maybe 3pm or so.
Cone marks aren't usually a very big deal. I've hit some cones HARD and not gotten any marks. My best advice would be to just stay away from the big cones. They fight back. Right Matt?
Also, bring a folding chair, sunscreen, and burger money. And your license.
