If the weather ever turns to Spring like conditions, I would like to be part of this. I have watched but never changed the springs myself and have been thinking of doing it in the near future. Please let me know what weekend this is going to go down. Josh

I am going to try and do this at my friend's house in Newport News next weekend (the 8th of March). That's a hella long commute from Alexandria, but you are more than welcome to come down (PM me for directions and my cell number). Any and all are welcome to come by, and/or meet up for the beer that will be had during and after the install. I could not find a local shop to do it for under $220, so I really don't care if it takes all day, I'm eager to put them in myself.

talk to jeff at evolution and see if he can work something around 220$ for you or not, but i know his prices are competetive, so give them a call.

I'd acrually much rather do it myself, anyway. Anuthing over 180 is more than the springs cost!

Do you need to rent a spring compressor for this project?

You'll need it for the fronts, but the rears can be done without one. So, yes. Just did mine two Fridays ago.

I'll be doing it this coming weekend, on Saturday. Let me know if you want to come up here.

Got them in this weekend, they're starting to settle nicely. Will post pics when time and weather allow. It was much easier than I thought it'd be, and it only took about 3 hours. Most of that was spent on the very first one, trying to figure what needed to be done. I think the front 2 took about an hour, while the back two took two hours. We had a spring compressor, and used it on the first one, but we didn't need it, and did not use it for the last 3, and that saved a lot of time.

WHAT?!

The back assemblies were a snap for me... except that you have to remove damn near the whole trunk! How did you get the fronts out so easily? Through the upper control arms? I'm helping thrackley on Thursday and will accept any pointers! It shouldn't take us 3 hrs... have all the proper tools and a lift. Again, the hardest part(for me) were the fronts.

Thanks,

Skip
