Anyone doing the NASA Summit April 1/2 event?

I would guess that john was faster because his car is lighter and he apparently doesn't care what it looks like after being on the track.
I don't recall having any issues on Shenadoah with 4.77's... i don't think I was ever in 2nd gear except a few attempts at that U-turn at turn 3 (or turn 2 whatever it is near pit out).

I took the u-turn in 3rd most of the time I spun twice trying to take it faster, it was slippery if you take a wider arc.
I would drop to 2nd on the in corkscrew (11?) and drift the car around to make it steer, I am not sure it was any faster, but it sure was fun to do.
I was shifting to 5th gear on the front straight just past the pit out; John was in 4th the whole straight I believe.

I finally took my skirt off and drove the car harder so I did get into 5th on the straights. At the top of the hill leading onto the front I was in 2nd and in 3rd before the exit of the first left. I was in 4th before the exit of the second left (or kink in the front stretch) and I'm not sure exactly where in 5th but I got into it. On the back straight I was in 5th before the jump and now that I think about it even if I have to short shift I would be in 5th there because that is how Kevin blew his engine. He was redline in 4th, the car caught air and the engine free revved until however many rpm's and blew through the block.
I didn't think about this until now but part of the difference is me running 275/45 17's on the back and the taller overall ratio.
That and I drive with reckless abandon now that the car has a scratch on it.
Mike---thanks for the pictures, if you have anymore of me please let me know.

Then that makes more sense, theoretically you would be at about 110 at redline in 4th with those tires and rear ratio.
