Default Anyone doing anything for Chinese/Korean New Year?

Hey Guys/Gals,

Anyone doing anything or know of any events that occurs in DC Metro Area/Annandale Area for the Chinese and/or Korean New Year.

I'm more interested in Korean New Year. I heard it's suppose to be held on February 1st.

If nothing else/nobody knows anything, I'm just gonna head out to Annandale for dinner at a Korean Restaurant.

Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year!!!

LT

Hi guys,

Happy New Year to you ALL!!

How are you LT? Are you still at Bethesda a few times a week? I am there tomorrow and Thursday. Maybe we can meet for lunch or something.

I am neither Chinese nor Korean, but Vietnamese. We have the same new year as the chinese, not to mention my wife is chinese. We have no definite plan yet.

Alex,

Yeah, I'll be at Bethesda Thursday and Friday.
Looking forward to it. Stop by the nutrition department.
I'm the only male dietitian so it won't be hard to get a hold of me.
Ask for LT Kim, w/ a name like this ofcourse I'm Korean.

See you Thursday,

LT

SaNg05 Happy New Year,

What's the zodiac this year, ram?
If you local guys, Asian or not, want to do lunch let me know. There are some great Korean restaurants in Annandale area.

Alex, No problem.

I was filling for 2 MIA's (both sick), so I was doing 3 people's job and just got done. I usually finish at 1600, but I'm glad the day is over.

Update on New Year's Grub.

I'm thinking either LUNCH or dinner at Annandale location, next to K-mart (Please no Koreans and K-mart joke). I'll give you the directions to the K-mart since I don't know the actual name of the restaurant. I only went there 3-4 times, but it was really good. (Use www.mapquest.com)

4251 JOHN MARR DRIVE
ANNANDALE, VA 22003-3205

There are about three Korean restaurants w/in really short distance away from K-mart, I was thinking about the one that is across the street from the main front entrance parking area of Kmart. There's also buffet style one across the street on the otherside of K-mart, but I'm not a big fan of that one, unless someoneelse wants, but I do know that the buffet place is always crowded and packed.

Lunch 11:00, 12:00, or 1:00 pm (I'm guessing either 12 or 1 pm). or Dinner 6, 7, or 8 pm (I'm guessing lunch, but if more people want to do dinner, then 6'ish).
I'm flexible so let me know, then I'll meet you there. Hopefully we can find a similar time frame for most.
I'm a terrible organizer. Call me if you want to (cell) 703-371-8992.

LT.

m777erlin = Korean

Happy New Year!

Are you talking about Yechon or the buffet place? I eat at Yechon all the time, just down the road. If you guys decide on something firm, I'll be there.
