You're not driving it hard enough, that's the problem

It's more that it's Dylan's belief that driving on poor tires/conditions makes you a better driver.
why wouldn't it??

if you can drive perfectly fine with bald/shitty tires... wouldn't driving on perfectly good/sticky tires be that much easier??

Oh, I agree on that part.

I just don't know that public streets are the best place to undergo such training.

Straightline driving kills tires on our car. Putting zero highway miles on them will usually allow for a more even wear.

And yes, 16k is a ton on S-02's. The longest i went was about 15k and they were some hydroplaning mofo's!

ES100's suck. Not sure about the Avon ladies.

I actually went almost 24k on my S-02s... I know very well the hydroplanes you're talking about, Skip!

It's also an indicator of my "wussiness", I guess though I got it with 14k on them... and they had some tread at the time, so I guess the guy didn't drive it that hard either.

I got some avon all seasons. 80-90% of the s02's dry grip. Way better hydroplaning resistance and cold weather grip(of course). Sidewalls are a little too soft for racing. At the rate they're wearing I'd say the rears will last at least 25-30k miles
