I know we've had "what do you do for work" threads before.
But just curious if there are other programmers/application developers in the Mid-A forum.
Oh boy the rain is making me sleepy.

I'm currently in management, but I have been in systems software / software development for a long time. I work with Unisys (Sperry-Univac) mainframe systems. Old big-iron equipment, but we're doing over 300 transactions per second with terabytes of data and have better than 99% up time.

I've pretty much done everything in software over the years - system design, programming, database administration, system conversions, management. My division (second largest in the agency) runs the gamut - legacy mainframe, PC-based, and web-based systems. The web-based systems are in development and expected to replace the legacy systems over the next year or so. I'm currently security officer for the division.

I'm a consultant specializing in enterprise level web software development (primarily with Microsoft .Net technologies).
While it isn't my "bread 'n butter" I also do a bit of graphic design, web design, e-commerce, as well as a bunch of other stuff.

I'm a .NET developer too and currently doing lots of work with sharepoint. Are you working with MOSS 2007 xizor?
oh man I think I've had enough of sharepoint. So much things to do to get it up and running..

Compared to earlier iterations, MOSS is a dream
