thank you for that! I literally just asked another member where he was trying out seats before purchase but he hasn't replied back yet. I couldn't for the life of me remember the shop name.

OG racing had the full Sparco lineup when I visited them 2 years ago. I wear between a 34 and a 36 waist and can fit in an Evo snugly.

Don't know if they have any others now. FWIW you're not going to fit any Sparco bgger than the Evo in an S without some form of black magic.

Or by starting to remove pieces of the interior. Sparco goes really wide on the shoulder wings as the seats get wider.

I visited OG today and tried out the Evo and EvoII (thanks Brian!).

I still prefer the looks/in-car fitment of the Recaro Pole Position and definitely leaning towards one if I can first give one a test. After googling the Recaro, it seems to have a thinner bottom cushion that would allow for more leg room unless it's just photographic trickery.

Forgot to add that both the Evo and Evo II were comfortable to me. 32" waist

I know it's silly to want a seat that looks good in the car but I find myself thinking the same thing when I look at lots of other seats. I personally think the Sparco stuff is pretty ugly.

I kind of like the Cobra seats and they look a little better than the Sparco stuff but I've yet to actually sit in one and side by side they still don't look as nice.

Being superficial is alright when the car sees 90-100% street use. You are right though. There is something about the colors, fonts, & stitch partitions that make the Sparcos less appealing.

If the car isn't going to see track time then I would recommend something with adjustable back. With a bucket installed you'll be climbing in and out of the car. It gets old after awhile in street use. Recaro speed?

Well the point is to get as low down and as far back as possible.
The bucket style seems to do that best and I do not daily the S. I'm looking for possibly 1-2 inch drop, more feel through the car to my rear, a bit more support (especially in the thigh/lower back areas), and a seat that sits me further from the wheel if possible. From what I gather, the PP with its thinner back and deep bucket will provide the "specs" I've listed.

The Recaro Speed looks very dense and does not seem to fulfill the minimalist style I'm going for.

Still looking...
I'm not necessarily looking for one seat model, although I am almost 100% set on a Recaro PP, as long as it is a bucket fixed back style. Even if someone has some Sparcos or no name seats that are actually installed in their S I would love to try them out and get a feel for ingress, egress, seat height, etc.
