AC Depressurizing

AC Depressurizing
this may be a longshot but does anyone have access to a machine to depressurize the system properly, do not want to let it out into the atmosphere.
only problem is, my car is broken down, and is stuck at my house. id much rather pay someone to come and do it than to tow it to a shop just to depressurize it.
i am located in Herndon Va.

This may be a difficult task. Harbor freight, and other such supply stores, sell do it yourself tools for this. Unfortunately I believe the popular method for evacuating refrigerant is to unscrew and run away, haha.

Venting to the atmosphere is stupid and illegal (yes, even with R-134).
R-134 isn't cheap. They should be happy to recover it for free. Assuming you're getting it recharged in the future, get the exact spec for AC refilling (go by weight, not pressure). If your system is open for any amount of time, replace the accumulator/receiver/dryer and add 2oz of A/C system oil to the replacement.
