Alright, I'll be doing updates tonight, BUT I ask that everyone invite every s2k owner you know. Tell your peeps on facebook or twitter a tweet or whatever young folks do these days. If you know people in the Carolinas who want to come up, invite them! Delaware, Murlan'? Invite them. If people need a place to stay because they are coming from further away please let me know. I need everyone's help to make this bigger than last year. Please check to see if your name is on the list. For reservations and permit use, I need to get close to an exact number.

Thanks Eddie. I have extra rooms at my place if you guys (Matt, Chris, yourself, etc) from southern Md want to bring sleeping bags or whatever you're welcome to stay here the night before if it helps.

COUNT ME IN!
Special Use Permit:
Submitted - 8/12
The Special Use Permit is issued by the National Park and allows us to enter the park together in one group. A large number of cars entering together is not allowed without this permit and the park would have the right to break us up in to groups of 3. The price for the permit this year is $200.00 again which I pay up front for everyone each year. I will again be accepting any donations to reimburse me for the cost of this permit. We have had excellent reviews of our behavior the last two years so obtaining this permit again this year will be easy for us.
Schedule:
(9:00am) Meeting place:
Dunkin' Donuts
14631 Lee Highway
Centreville, VA
(703) 815-4020
8:45am Show up, grab some coffee and talk
9:15am Begin drive
(10:45) Gas stop (approx. 70 mins from meeting place):
211 Quicke Mart, 12663 Lee Highway, Washington, VA 22747-1931 (Shell gas station)
Gas,Snacks,Restrooms, ATM
(11:15) Skyline Drive Entrance Point:
Thornton Gap Entrance Station
Per car entrance fee: $15.00 (I'm working with a sponsor to have this fee covered for all attendees)
(11:30) Lunch at Skyline Restaurant (Mountain Room):
They do not accept reservations, but I have submitted a request for an exception. Last year they agreed so hopefully this year they will as well.
Things to remember:
* This is for s2000s only
* Stay in your lane (do not cross double yellow lines)
* Headlights on at all times
* Stay a safe distance from the car in front of you
* When turning on to a new road, be sure to slow down/stop to let the car behind you know that we turned
* Temps will drop 5-10 degrees from beginning of drive to top of skyline drive
