First, let me thank everybody for helping Sean and Debbie get collected and Anders for letting us park the trailer at his place. Your help means a lot to all of us.

Everything in the car felt like it worked at impact but I did feel the substraps catch me. When the car came to rest, I was trying to assess what happened and my condition. A great deal of lower back pain and no feeling or movement below the waist. I suspect something was wrong with the sub setup that allowed a little too much movement. I'll have to look at it when I'm up and about. I'm still surprised one vertebra was the only damage. I hit pretty hard.

As for how it happened, I can review everything in my head, but I have no idea why I went off. The first time I've forgotten the camera in a while, so no video. I was following John down the straight, checked brakes early, and started braking around #4. Nothing new. The move I recall is sliding off while in the turn adjusting steering so I wouldn't flip in the gravel pit.

The IV's were all taken out today, the physical therapy has started and the prognosis is good. Turns out that I demolished my T12 vertebra. I'm still at the Winchester Medical Center, but hope to head home on Monday.
