My plywood splitter is pretty heavy, I would guesstimate about 12 lbs. I don't remember what size fastener I went with. I simply took a stock bottom bumper fastener into a large Ace Hardware. They had the same type fasteners and I went with the next size up diameter and went about 1 inch longer. It's better for them to be too long than too short. Long makes it much easier to start the thread after putting the bolt through the splitter, bottom plastic and front bumper. I also added two fasteners to the rear-center area of the splitter for a little more support.
Oh wow. That is substantial. I didn't know it would be quite so heavy. So maybe the material I looked at wasn't that heavy in comparison after all. How far do you have it going back Rob, just to the front wheels, or do you have it extend further with cutouts around the wheels?

Yep, I did That solution looks well made but I'd have to see what kind of pricing he'd want for them. I am working on a budget LOL.

Spectacular WRC testing video

If WRC's best showed up to the dragon for a test, I'll PAY to go see that!

How far do you have it going back Rob
Honda Challenge rules state the splitter has to end at the front of the wheel wheel. I used to run it about 1 foot beyond the wheel wells but I had to trim it to meet the rules.

What do you guys think?

Something like this if you can see it from my Picasso artwork

Sorry I don't have any pictures of my setup, but I ended up ordering a pair of these:

I had to do a lot of cutting/trimming of the front bumper faux inlets as well as these brake ducts. I ended up mounting my air pump lower by buying a metal brace from Lowes and modified the pump relay bracket. I ran the hose through the triangular brace and as far as I know, it doesn't interfere with the air pump or anything like that.

Well I got the most important tool a racer needs in order to get by the racing season! Besides Gorilla tape.

Ah ok thanks for a pic. It is still effective though I gather? I know you said when you trimmed the mongo one you gained a second+ but does the splitter compared to no splitter add stability?
