You can, just get wheels that fit. +60 - +63 seem to work well. If you search tire rack for SCCA STR under S2000 for wheels they have a few choices.

I am also in your boat. I might need to get my fenders rerolled a bit. There is already very little room for ducting with stock wheels and I have heard of people crushing their tubing when ducting high offset wheels. However, if you dont want to roll then you may not want to use a +45 offset wheel. Personally, I have started to give less of a shit how it looks so Iwouldnt mind rolling the fenders.

With +45 offset the first interference that one will encounter would be hitting tabs on the front fender lining under compression of the suspansion. That can lead to damaging fenders when the tab gets caught and pulls the mounting point from the fender, thus deforming it.

As you go lower, more issues pop up; Interfierence with actual lips on the wheel wells becomes a problem, but that can be fixed by rolling fenders. Than rear bumber tab has to be relocated because it goes in contact with the tires under compression (especially with 255).

At some point the front tires will start rubbing on the inside under compression and hard steering input. That can be cured with stiffer springs, spacers, or narrow tires...none of that really helps with the car's handling characteristics so that is effectively the point where one should stop thinking of going lower to the ground.

Well the plan for the car is to be all out racecar and I know I would like to eventually run 255 all the way around and I wanna put it on rpf1's so instead of buying multiple rims just buy one set and be done. But I'm trying to get these before wtd cuz I'm rolling around on stockers with snow tires and that's no good for wtd. But I'm just trying to become as informed as I can. I dont mind getting the fenders rolled if it'll help and I can get it done before WTD.

Everything Oleg said is very true. I run your exact wheels with my 245 Hoosiers and I had to roll the fenders front and rear, move the rear fender tab and run race car camber of -3 or more and they still rub the fender liners in the front.

I would just ask that you clarify what you mean by "racecar". There are obviously a lot of rules to follow if doing any time trials or Wheel to Wheel from what I have heard (although I don't know, since I just do HPDE). Some of these sanctioning bodies forbid things like fender rolling, or at least penalize you for it. I am sure some of these other guys can explain the rules more. If you just mean all out "track car" doing HPDEs, then you can modify how you like.

Well track car I guess then Go into time trials. seeing as how it'll be hard to actually tour around the USA and keep a job lol. But just as how Rob stated in his site I know where I want to go with the car I just don't want to redo things. Or spend more money in different things.

On this topic of wheel/tire sizes and offsets I have a question being new to the car.

I have a set of 16x7 +45 wheels with 225/50/16 RS-3s left over from my RSX that I used exclusively for track and autocross. The tires only have 1 weekend at Summit Point, 6-7 autocrosses, and maybe a month of street driving on them.

Will I run into any issues running these on my AP1? I would use them the same as before and have a set of stock wheels for DDing.

Stock hight as in stock suspension? I think Matt (DC_S2K) ran on OEM suspensions all the way until he became instructor qualified so maybe he can chime in.
