Yeah man, get it done! Ron, what big brake kit are you going with? Are you going to use the 18" Enkei that came on the new S or are you going to get some 17s?

If you're not using the 18s for the track are you going to be selling those pf01?

If so, how wide/what offset are they? The 17" tire options drop off dramatically with anything wider than 255. I'd like to get some 275s on the rear of my rx7.

I'm going big cuz I haz extra power now. 18s square is what I'm planning cuz I got the Gendron FSB anyway and brakes are probably the tire rack Brembo package or something used on line. I'm taking my time on this set up.

Jason, sorry the PF01s (square s2000 spec) are gone the day someone heard I'm changing my flatform. So with the wings and tire trailer with hitch.

Need a baffle (thin aluminum plate) welded into the oil pan. Both the baffle and the pan are new.

The baffle is the thin metal plate as seen in this pan.

Ah, personally I think there are better options than the Brembo...I think the Stoptech kit is more favored by the track guys and is several hundred cheaper. Actually, I'll send you a PM...

Any reason you are going with 18s square? The tire prices are like double the price as was pointed out to me on the thread last year.

But if prices are too high for me then I'll go back down to 17s.

Actually I'm heavily leaning towards Stoptech and I'll only buy Brembo if it's used because I still need some monies for pads.

Damn, thanks anyways. Those wheels are like the slutty chicks in HS. They've been around to everyone and back.

That's why I wanted a turn.

Ron, why does WHP matter with wheel diameter? Its not getting you additional performance. They're guaranteed to be heavier wheel/tire combos than 17s.

Larger footprint = larger traction circle is true though.

Normally the actual tire diameter is the same (because the tire sidewall is shorter) so the tire's footprint is the same. You get quicker turn-in due to less sidewall though. Bottom line is 18 inch wheels on the S2000 are for posers.
