What's up guys.. I was adding my NASA TT points for my car (as she sits). Currently I am at 27 points without the weight assessment. I have a couple of questions.
  • What is the minimum weight for TT-B? The last time I weighed the car, she was sitting at about 2580 without driver.
  • Forgive my noobness, but is the J's Camber joint considered "Suspension - Alteration of ball joints/dive angles. +2" (Suspension # 19)?
Thanks!
I looked up the min weight for the S2000 and it's 2850 so you're going to have to carry extra fuel, add ballast or take some points for weight. Skip was below min weight and felt the points were well worth it.
Thanks for that!!! I'd like to run with a full tank anyway. I get quite a bit of fuel starvation since I don't have a fuel cell. I should still be ok... the car will probably around 2600lbs w/ full tank + 160lbs driver. So I will take a 90lbs penalty.

When is the next track day for everyone? We should get a group going for one last time before winter hits.

You can sign up for the MBCA track day, the end of the month. No roll bars required I think.

I can't help with the maintenance question, just about everyone here works on their own cars for routine maintenance stuff.

Anyone doing the SCCA PDX next weekend? I just registered.

No rollbar needed if you have a hardtop.
Won't be attending that weekend. You going to any other upcoming events? I'm 90% in for Nov 3-4 at Summit but would also like to get in another event before that.
The NASA event in Nov is probably my next and last one of the year.

Cool, thanks for the info. I dont have the time to do my own work anymore, and frankly cars are a bit intimidating for my limited mechanical skill. I've raced motorcycles for the past 6 years and this is my first play car so its going to be a learning curve. But I do want to get this car to the track. Just have to keep reading on this forum...i guess I need a rollbar to get started.

I went from track bikes to cars, lines are a bit different, you generally use a lot more track in a car and curbing as well. Took me a while to open up my lines.
