David - your cheapest route is probably to keep your integra and race that in HC. Part out the turbo stuff, cage it yourself, put a GSR motor in it and go do comp school. You will want a LSD but its not required. Only required to go fast. There were at least 4 integras in HC at VIR last weekend. All good guys and they are fast.
My car has a Gsr engine so that's good. It needs limited slip. My car on NT-01's couldn't keep up with a buddy from T5-T9 on summit main in his street car. I made a lot of time on him on the straights and almost all other corners, but that section is terrible. Selling the turbo could fund the LSD. But it would still need to have the brake system redone. This car is terrible under heavy braking. It gets extremely loose and has a tendency I lock up the rear tires. And it's a 4-door. I would love to put a wing on it. And the suspension would probably need freshened up. It just seems easier to part out and start with a car that is proven to be a decent track car. I dunno. I have some thinking to do.
Don't underestimate the time and expense of starting over. The car can be competitive, and probably faster than a S2000 based on the HC rules bias toward FWD cars. 4 door doesnt matter as long as you can get around min weight. Consider posting on the NASA HC forums for advice.

The problem with that is that the lines coming out of the MC are diagonally split. Meaning one port is for the RF/LR and the other is for the LF/RR. It would be a huge pain to replumb all of that.

And I have already promised a lot of stuff off of the car to people. I am just ready for something new. This car served me well, but it was my 4th Integra. I have had my fun with it and am looking for another project. I am sure it will cost more this way, but strung out over the next year and a half it should be doable.

Has anybody heard any pro's or con's about Miatacage.com's weld in cages?

There's definitely advantages to doing it yourself as you'll get to know the car versus stepping into a complete car. Keep in mind you can run an SSM or SM car in NASA PTx and/or the spec series--some guys do that to get away from the fender banging in the spec Miata series. You will also be able to sell a spec Miata pretty easily if you ever want to.

I saw a older Miata with a Hardtop at one of the shyster used car places in Front Royal a few days ago. Hardtops are worth about 1K for Miata's

Yea, being a mechanic means I really like to know what all is going on. I also want to be able to drive it before/after the modifications so I know what is affecting what. The fact that there is multiple classes to run in is cool. So is being able to easily resell it.

Damn. I didn't think they cost that much. You didn't happen to see the price on the car did you?
