Finally got to burp the car today, followed Billman's way and did the firewall also for a good measure. Thanks to Jim and Jason for the warning. I thought the rubber cap is just covering for the bleeder valve but alas it was not! Sprayed coolant all over the engine bay exept my face.

Test drove the car tonite, so far the highest temps I saw was 204 but the SPAL fan kicked-in and down she goes. Temps maintained around 196-200 with AC on and 184-196 with AC off. Tomorrow will be the real test when I drive the car to work to a Friday madness commute.
Update:

Well, while driving back home on hot 90F from VB today I experienced the engine high temp while AC is on again. The engine was holding at around 210-220 on my way to VB. On

Ron, do you have a oil temp gauge?

Yes, I have an oil temp gauge and it was around 210-220 at the time but it broke. The needle starts to flop left to right once the oil temp reaches 200F.

I'm sure there is a dirty joke in there somewhere.

Fix that now, Oil Temp is pretty important.

I hit 274 oil temps at the last FATT and 235 coolant, any higher and I am easing off.

Looking for some car knowledge.

Recently changed the o2 sensors on a friends LS swapped rx7. While doing so left the hp tuners dongle (without laptop) hooked into OBD port. Went to fire the car up and got nothing. No cranking, no clicking, only sound of the fuel pump turning on. ABS and Brake light turn on while trying to start the car - however turn off immediately when not trying to crank.

Battery has been confirmed good with 745 cca and 12.84 amps.

Have been looking over fuses but don't even really know where to start. I hate problems that arise from no logical immediate circumstances.

Ideas?

There have been a bunch (nationally) of track engine failures that seem to be due to oil overheat/failure. I now strongly recommend an oil cooler for moderately fast track guys. I say moderately fast guys because they hold 100% throttle around the track a lot more than a typical S2000 track guy and it's the full throttle that really builds the heat. I won't run my car on track without an oil cooler and I bought an aluminum 3 row radiator for insurance.

Metros,

I'd start with checking out the fuse(s) that protect the ECU. What you describe sounds about like what you'd get with no ecu.

see if starter solenoid clicks, if not, try to troubleshoot why there is no signal from the ecu.

Sorry to disappoint but I didn't get any video. I am almost positive that my little laptop that I keep in the car for tuning got stolen out of my garage along with the gopro charger. The last place I remember seeing it was just inside the garage door that until now I always left open whenever I took the dog for her nightly walk. I'll be calling VIR to make sure I didn't leave it in the room last time, but I am pretty sure it was in the garage.

On a brighter note, my best lap of the weekend was a 1:29.56! My goal was a sub 1:30 lap, and I ran that on the last lap before the axle broke and I had to quit for the weekend. It's amazing how much time you can pick up while trying to catch a GT-R. He was pulling away, but I was having fun.

Jason, there should be two wires going to the starter; one small and one larger. Make sure the large one has power all the time and then check to see if the smaller wire gets power when you turn the ignition to the start position. Let me know what you find and I will try to walk you through the diag for it.
