If you really bolt the bottom of the seat to the floor with no room for belts you can legally bolt the two sub belts to the lap belt bolts. You could run the sub belt straps under the seat and up through the sub strap hole in the seat before you bolt the seat down. I ran this setup with the stock seats for a year or so.

At the end of the video you'll see a miata guy spin because of missing the apex....most likely was looking at me in the mirror.
That looks like a classic error. He would have been OK but for the fact that he tried to come back onto the track. It looks like he had plenty of room to ride it out.

my 2 cents.
This^^^

Instructor should have grabbed the wheel so that the Miata continued alongside the track. Pulling back in front of traffic after you go off is a stupid move.

Dangerous!

Lou, come on, you've attended the BSR FATT instructor clinic. Grab that freakin' wheel!

Rob - I meant the driver swerving back on track. There is a case where, as an instructor, I would grab the wheel in self defense.

I think a 2013 Track Junkie thread needs to be started.

Have any track dates been posted yet for the usually groups that run? I really want to get out at least once this year on a real race track. I'd probably shoot for one of the no rollbar summit events.
