and this is one of the reasons i hold you all in such high respect. you all know what you are talking about when it comes to tracking the S. I have done a lot of research regarding what one should do to start tracking an S. That being said, i know i'm going about it wrong by modding now. But with the situation that i was in with what i was given when i bought the car, it would have cost me a lot more money to return the car to stock now and then upgrade in a year or two than to just get the stuff i got now, especially at the prices i got them for now.

don't judge me

I got the car teched today by Mike Collins of Meathead Racing for the SCCA comp school. I had two problems. I had to cover the electrical kill switch's terminals and I have to install a fuel sample port so the stewards can easily sample the fuel between the fuel tank and injectors. I put one on order but the SCCA will let me run the comp school without the port.

I saw Nick (leadhead16) at Meathead, he was putting the finishing touches to his Spec Miata's graphics and hit the track. The SCCA was running a PDX on Summit Main.

Another problem that I had while getting these parts... is that I'm planning on settling down with my +1 in a year or two. I will be able to afford track days, but larger investments would be more difficult if I start a family. I had the ability to purchase them now, so I kind of pulled the trigger on it.

port makes it easy.

without one as long as you have a way to disconnect the fuel hose close to where it goes into the manifold, you should be ok for school. they just do not want a hose leading out from a hidden area where you could have it in a can of legal fuel, just not what you are feeding engine from the tank full of super fuel.
