I have ACT heavy-duty pressure plate, race spec flywheel, and oem friction disk. Works like a charm!

I have the act HDSS kit/oem flywheel. This kit may be overkill for your application but I couldn't be happier with it. Still daily driveable if I chose to and holds power (boosted) well.

thanks guys Skip just *un*recommended the ACT HD PP, for reasons i do not know (although i just asked... hoping i didn't open a can of Skip worms.)

I'm thinking heavily about the Clutch Masters FX300 with a SoS flywheel (i have an ap1.. so if i get the 11.5 it will be fairly close to stock, if i get the 8.5... i'm thinking driveability would suck)

we'll see what Skip has to say about the ACT pp, if its respectable it may influence my choice, if its BS, i may go for a custom "kit" if you will. that is, mix and match pp, friction disk and flywheel.

edit: Skip can't remember why he doesn't like it

I have an old Hardtopguy kit with ACT HD pressure plate and OEM disc with a comptech flywheel. It does the job, feels good and holds the power, but I think ACT redesigned their PP since then because of complaints about the holding force possibly breaking something or something like that I don't really remember. There are plenty of threads about it, but (knock on wood) mine has held up well.

I have almost the same clutch set up as goldenfri except my flywheel is OEM. Bought the kit from Hardtopguy too because it was highly recommended during that time.

I use to daily drive my S for almost a year and I like the feel of it. Ofcourse every manual car you drive from then on will have a very soft clutch feel.

I've driven my mom's Eclipse GTS Spyder, and i HATE the clutch in that, its very "smooth", and very squishy, basically like pressing the gas pedal.

Ok, I installed Skips suspension (GC/Konis) today. Its SUPER stiff but....

The rears clunk. Its loud and annoying and basically sounds like all the bolts are loose. Does anyone know why that is? I did search and one of the stated reasons was you need to preload the suspension before torquing the bolts. I did that or so i thought. Anyway, its loud. Anyone who's had this experience with coilovers, or experience with coilovers please help.

Didn't have that experience when I installed mind but my guess is loose springs besides not properly preloaded.

Was the suspensions transfered directly from car to car without touching or moving anything? If not touched, then it should be just plug and play.

That is why you should get HD PP with your set up.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Center force dual friction?

i'm thinking that the heavy PP will be too much for me
