Has any one tried cryo treated rotors to prevent the cracking/failing? This type of failure seems pretty common in our car.

Understanding that they still crack, I was wondering if they crack less often / last longer. (Enough to make up the cost.)

That is the Brembo ones that I have problem with last weekend. The RP2 sticks so much and warp easily. The only way to scrape off the RP2 deposits is to do metal to metal braking.
