Lou, what Rob said.

On another note, I am thinking of instructing next saturday at the SATT on Shenandoah. Anyone going to be there?

Also, I just ordered a Deka EXT20L 15.5 lb battery. Deka manufactures Braille batteries, but is cheaper $100 shipped with posts. The EXT20L = Brail 2015. Replacements are $77 (only need to buy one set of posts).

I might show up for that. Some of the ReVolvo team will be instructing at the SCCA event on SPR.

I am working for BSR Thursday and Friday so I am not sure I want to be there 3 days in a row?
I signed up for the Saturday FATT. Its supposed to rain. Joy. Maybe I'll come up on my 7 year old all season tires.

I didn't sign up sorry My car is a permanent convertible until I can mount my hardtop hoist in place. That track is a bit slippery in the wet, watch the water up the hill and under the bridge.

Yup, the weather was perfect. So glad that I mounted up those ancient all seasons.

I instructed this really nice old guy in a mustang who at one point said "Boy, I'm really working this engine!" I looked at the tach. 1500 rpms. It was a slooow day.

Yea, at one point I was riding piggy back on a student...[/quote]

So, I must have nodded off when they taught this instructional approach. Was it that cute girl with the pony tail?

Fun day, I had a student in a GTI, a student in a STI, a student in a Cayman R and a student in a S2000. All did fine.

Hey Pete, this is Timon (the guy in the white s2k). Just wanted to thank you again for instructing me for my first time on Shenandoah. I really started to feel like I was getting a good rythem during my 3 & 4 sessions. Still need work on the corkscrew and being a little more agressive with the throttle onto the exit of the back staight. The track is a lot of fun and great to drive in a S2000.

Cool, glad you enjoyed the track. It is a nice alternative to running SPR all the time.

Corkscrew is a relatively slow turn so just keep experimenting with it. Getting on full throttle is difficult when there is a large puddle at corner exit of Little Bend. When it dries out you will find the line works better.

FYI, there is a nice helmet group buy going on here:

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/898...010-group-buy/

Good prices for SA2010 helmets.
