If you get the turn-in just right, the transition is far less abrupt. Otherwise, I try not to make any inputs until I am about to have traction again. Remember folks, some of us are hitting T9 at different speeds, so the crown's effect will be different. Also, the stiffness of the car will give a different sensation.

It's been awhile since I tracked PrincesS at Summit(1 yr now), so take anything I say with that in mind.

This is how early you have to turn in for Summit Main's Turn 9 when flat out and understeering. Notice the yellow centering tape on the wheel. This is a screen capture from my 121.7 lap:

I was messin' with my routers and the website went down for a while. Hopefully it's up now.

At full throttle at 86mph the car understeers here so I have to turn very smoothly and very early to get the car turned in to hit the apex. If I lift off the throttle I can turn in much later because the lift transfers weight to the front tires and makes them bite--but I pay for the lift all the way down the bridge straight.

What Rob has failed to tell you all is that his alignment is off after hitting a groundhog.

If there were a "LIKE" button for early turn-in, I'd have to hit it. Anything I could do to reduce overall steering input I'd do. Run over curbing? Done. Eyes looking far ahead to track out? Done.

I'm not sure any of my video would show anything different than Rob's. Gearing was different, so shift points would be different. I have a lap of 21.7, also. Rob, would you be able to overlap the two? That might be cool.

At the very least I could do a side-by-side split screen. Send me the video or a link to it and I'll put it together.

Cool.

You'll have to cut the lap out of a 9-minute clip. T10 before last lap is around the 7:25 mark. Not a problem, right?
