It does look like a very nice neighborhood.

What's the deal with that giant "A" in the neighboring lot?

No, I don't think so. My 17x9 +45s with 245 Hoosiers still rub a little at full compression with a fender roll and tab relocation.

We're busy here with snow chain discussions, take your street tire nonsense somewhere else
Ok, good to know. I knew that +45 was starting to push the limits. I guess +40 wouldn't work without cutting the fenders and adding overfenders. I guess these damn Downforce fenders are just too wide for stock rear fenders.

Oops, sorry for getting Continue your discussion!

Yes. They can but I think 17x9 +45 is the lowest offset you can go in which I would call it an easy fix.

On top of relocating the bolt and rolling the fenders you need to trim the inner lip of the bumper a good amount.

Despite how it might look this did not rub even over the biggest bumps and dips in the road I can imagine and the car was daily driven.

Wheels were 17x9.5 +38 all around and 255 Star Specs -3.3 camber out back. Disregard the fronts as the fenders were flared and repainted.

The other road on the left above the highlighted on is a dirt road that comes out to R55 and would be an awesome hill climb. I think it is there as an alternate entrance for emergency vehicles and heavy construction equipment.

The better question might be, "What would I gain in performance if I used wheels whose offset pushed the wheels farther out? Would the wider stance aid in handling or would moving the wheel farther away from the in-wheel designed suspension negate the wider stance and potentially reduce overall performance when compared to a wheel of same size, but more in line with the manufacturer's original design(read: more offset)? And... is any of this measurable at our level of driving/car prep?"

I think the better question is: Who cares?
