Fixed.

uhmm, rain might be hitting you in a street car.. before the first repave all and there were all the different surfaces in carousel, even in the dry i could not lay on the gas in the formula car without sliding around. afterward, was much easier since grip level was same all round.

Great tool. That's how I've been making spare money for the track days.....or at least some small portion of it

Looking for an opinion from some of the more experienced track junkies. As I'm installing my track pads and doing maintenance today I'm debating on finishing the rest of my rear pads or just switching to the new pads. The new rear xp8 are pre-bed so if I have to install at the track I won't lose any time. However, the current state of my rear pads are more worn on the outter edge with more life towards the inner edge. Here are some pictures:

Outter edge, slight crumbling along the very outside ridge

Inner edge, great condition

1 - Why the difference in pad wear from outside to inside of the brake pad?
2 - These pads are currently 2 weekends old (4 days at the track). Are they worth throwing on for 1 day on Jefferson?

Thanks

1 other question. I'm using Potenza RE070 (225 F, 255 R). The rears have ~3-4/32 left at the middle of the tire and less towards the inner edge. I fully expect this to be their last event. However, the front tires look great. What's the rule in this situation? Do I need to pick up RE070 for the rear as a replacement? Or can I go with the dunlops that I've wanted to try out and keep the RE070 in front?

looks like my promotion coming in June will allow me to pay off my CC relatively quickly and come out to some track events with you guys, more so to watch/observe and learn a little bit before attending an HPDE for myself I'm hoping by the end of June or beginning of July (other than independence day weekend when I'll be up in Chicago) I'll asking you guys for some information regarding some events and what I'll need to do to come park my car and crack out the lawn chair

I'm so excited!! I hope this all works out as planned!!!!!
