Hershey Park is about 2 hours...NJ was more than 3 I think. Where are you going next weekend?

It was bad enough that Anthony, even after spending an hour and thirty mins driving down, just packed up and left before he was supposed to run. I thought about it as well...just stuck it out. The sun poked through just as I was packing up and leaving. It rained the whole way home...except for the first five minutes of the drive back to Frederick.
Well yeah I had to leave it was too cold and raining. The whole idea was to compare my car with Brian’s car but that was not going to happen in that crappy weather. Hopefully we can get better weather for some more testing this year, but it is getting cold…
Supposed to be Sunny and 70 this weekend for AI. There is also CDC (Brian in registered) at Bowie, but I am only about 30% that I am going. I'll be on star specs if do though.

I may go. Got that day off now. Depends on the competition yet to register in NJ, and the number of eventual entrants in Dover.

How many runs does Dover normally get?

It only took me about two hours to get there last time I went, so I can do that without problem..

There is almost no one registered for Dover.....that's a shame.

Jon, you can always come down to Waldorf (about an hour and twenty minutes from Frederick). It is a double event wtih AI. My guess is Strano will do the course again. Run 4 times in the morning, they provide lunch, and then run the course 4 times in reverse in the afternoon. It's $65. Only two other STR cars registered, but there is a pretty good group running in the pro pax class. Also, the UMD FSAE will be there again making everyone look ridiculously slow. You can follow me down if you wish, but I have to leave pretty early (tire change FTL).

Mike-
Like I said last time, philly region's not like WDCR...people don't register until the very last minute, and about 1/4-1/2 the people at the events don't preregister at all.

I was thinking about that waldorf event. I'd rather do Dover though for a few reasons - 1) so I don't give up 1st place in philly season points due to lack of attendance 2) I have to drive back to philly after the event, so dover-philly is much shorter than waldorf-philly, 3) I know there's good competition in STR and 4) Dover's a nice big lot. Also hopefully we'll get another national tour there next year and I need to figure that lot out a little better

Noel- Bare minimum of 4 runs, much more likely to be 5 runs. Possibly more or fun runs if the turnout really is lower than typical, and philly's fun runs are usually like 5-10 runs for $5.

P.S. I'm picking up my flashpro after work today so this will be my first event with it, I'm excited.

I forget, did you say you live in NJ now or in Frederick? I'm trying to figure out how far Dover is from frederick, from google maps it looks like 2.5 hours but I would be happy to find out it's more like 2.

Jon,
I grew up in NJ 15 minutes from the Meadowlands, but now live in Frednx. Dover was 2 hours when I went there last time in March of this year. I am leaning towards Dover strongly. Only if Chris Travis were to do NNJR would I attend.

I'm up for meeting up and making the trip together if you are. It's a nice trip over the bay bridge and through eastern MD and up.
