Hmmm....the link still works for me. Only thing to keep in mind with overall pax....Sam wasn't in the grand sport. I have to imagine he would have been a .5 or so quicker in that car. Making my results even more depressing...

In my opinion, the Mazda event is among the best for getting seat time. The downsides are that you could literally go through 4/32" tread with the amount of runs you are likely to get at the Mazda event and on the very coarse pavement at Bowie. There is also a higher probability of accidents there, just based on statistics.
I will not be going, but I have gone to that event in the past and felt that it was a good learning experience. The Mazda group is very cool, and you will have a lot of opportunity to practice. It really depends on your level of experience. If you are not yet pushing the car really hard then I recommend this event. If you are, then probably Waldorf or a bigger and smoother lot would suit you better.
There is an outside chance I may go to Philly Region SCCA this Sunday.

Gotta travel to compete... Season still has some life in it yet, and many local locations just don't have the type of lots that benefit practice for national level events. Gotta get things generally sorted out now for next year. I'm planning on doing a lot of national events. Hopefully I will win the lottery and have some Motons or equivalent through Motion Control.
My car can win a national event -- I gotta get it properly prepared and figure out how to drive it fast enough to let it win. Realistic practice and tuning is the name of the game for me at this point.
I will know about Warminster late tonight.

I will be heading up Friday morning to help my parents with some stuff. Leaving for MD shortly after the event though.
OK. I think I ran my Hoosiers at about 65 degrees in Cumberland that first time I had them, but I didn't have anything as a frame of reference then. I will bring my tire blankets and hope for the best They ran last time as follows: run 4, work, run 3 (initially intended 4), work. Depending on the turnout there may be more runs. Last time was higher than initially expected.
Hoping for good weather.....
