Bad news....looks like the Z will need a new motor sooner rather than later. Down 10-15% in power across the board. Plan is to replace it along with some other tidbits and convert it over to E85. Best thing is it should be up 30-40whp over what is now.

Can you do a 370Z swap? well, it will bump you up to what SM?

The 350z is not on the same "line" as the 370z. I can do one of the later HR motors, but the cost is too high. The 370z motors could probably make 330-340whp in full street prepared trim.

Dude, why not sell that thing and get a S2000? I mean you are on the S2000 forum, were considering running STR, and the 350Z has not been a leading car in any class.
I know it's hard, but otherwise it seems like you are wasting money -- that is of course, if winning a championship is your goal -- if not, then nevermind.
It's not nice, but should be said

I understand. I loved my Z4. But it is what it is: slow. And I am saving by not hopessly throwing more money at it. The decision to switch was tough -- but looking back I have no idea why. The S2000 beats the Z4 in every way, and j honestly feel that I am finally learning how to drive a sports car.
I'm telling you that you will not miss that heavy car. Plus, parts are widely available used for the S, so it's not like you have to buy everything new. I really loved my 1994 Miata M, and feel the same about my S2000. Never felt that way way about the Z4, which is very close to the 350Z in many respects.
And many of the best drivers drive the S.
