You're pretty new to autox, right? Might want to go to a few events before you worry about any mods.
Yes, I've only been to 4 events since I bought the car. I had Starspecs for those events though, and when I put on the 960 Pole Positions I could immediately feel a difference in responsiveness which I knew would make AutoXing less fun.

I agree that it's silly to get all wrapped up in modding the car this early in the game (I'm the guy who got shut down after asking about tracking without a roll bar haha) but since I want to buy another set of wheels I might as well buy ones that will do better once I've improved my own skill.

And i wouldn't mind putting a sway bar on as long as it won't be an issue for a daily driven car. I've been researching them on this forum and it sounds pretty easy to do.

For STR you may want to look at this:

You can buy these wheels and tires, and maybe get a CR front sway bar for the moment. I am in White Marsh also

Very nice wheels! Now for some more n00b questions. AP2s have more of an understeer tendency, so a CR sway bar would cure that...making an oversteer tendency worse, right?

And I do run STR because I have a CAI...I was told that kicks you out of stock. Fortunately all the stock guys use Hoo$iers and I think that puts them farther above me than the STR guys.

Yes, at least in my experienced on my AP1. The AP2 wheels set up for me scrubbed a lot of time from understeering. So putting a thicker CR FSB would make that worse I would imagine. Some say putting a softer rear sway bar would reduce understeer which makes sense to me. But your driving style will play big role too.

I'm not very familiar with STR rules. All I know is you can't run R comp tires.

I am at least an hour away from everything except Harry Grove.....which is my least favorite lot by a large margin.

I was hoping for more events at Winchester, but there are less this year. Turn out was far lower there than other sites so I can understand. It is the best lot CDC uses though.

I signed up to instruct the BMW school on March 5th.....couldn't wait any longer to get back out there. Bit the bullet and hope to get some fun runs b/w the instruction.
