It was a nice course at Hershey as well. Unfortunately I am still chasing an engine (likely electrical) issue and could only limp around for 2 1/2 runs. I figure I was probably ~4s off what the car would have done. That said...the Z is probably out of action for at least a few weeks. On top of all that stuff....I have had enough of my DA Koni's leaking. I might put in an order for AST's. That could be pushed back a bit if the motor is something more serious.

Not a very good day with mechanical trouble, but then a bad day in a shifter is still a friggin blast...
That looks like a nice long course, I may have to go there next event. That shifter kart looks really fun ...do you do anything else with it or just autocross?

Mike- that sucks about your car. Maybe you can find a ride, I already have a co-driver

That sucks. Electrical issues are the worst but at least you made it there. The wheel bearing on my tire trailer kind of self destructed on 270 right before frederick on the way to hershey.

They are so absurdly fun it feels wrong. I pretty much just autocross it. Been to tracks like BeaveRun for open practice a few times, but I'll probably never go W2W in a kart or swap the final drive to go road racing (having lost a front wheel at ~70mph, i do NOT have the cojones to go play in the triple digits...). I'd still like to do more track stuff, though. Over 2.5 sustained lateral G is an experience, and we never get the tires up to temperature in autox.

Just signed up for CDC @ Bowie. Who else is in? Just bought Koni Yellows / GC setup from another member for the S2000 but it's going to be tough getting them installed and an alignment before then. (Out of town this weekend.) I may have to drive the DD.

I'm definitely in for MBCA on the 17th.

Haven't signed up for CDC @ bowie yet. Not sure if I'll be able to make it.

With Capital Driving Club (CDC) you can just sign up on their website and show up. With the other clubs, you do the same, or if they don't have registration on their website, you just show up early at the event and get registered.
