Default 2007 Washington DC Auto Show

http://www.washingtonautoshow.com/

I've been going to this event for about 15 years now and it's one of few things that will make me venture into DC (aside from my job). Does anyone else go to this and does anyone want to go this year? I'd imagine the best days for most people would be either Saturday (1/27) or Sunday (1/28). I'm trying to work my way onto the Media Day invite list for next Tuesday to get a sneak peak at what will be on display.

EDIT: This won't be as awesome as the Detroit Auto show (see pics from Alex aka Poindexter). No Beyonce or Carmen Electra. Or FF3 villains.

I try to make it out every year. With the way my schedule's panning out now though, I don't know if I will be able to

Any new concept cars debuted in Detroit going to show up? If not, I'll wait for the NY Auto show in April.

Myself and a large group of friends are going on Sunday (we also go every year), we usually go into Chinatown afterwards and eat dinner (short walk from the convention center). Anyone interested? If so we meet at the Springfield Metro and ride up from there. Most of the guys going are mechanics or work at dealerships in sales or service.

I have been to this event about 7 times in the past 10years. This show is best described as a dealer showcase. Nothing new is there--not even newly-released models that will be in showrooms within weeks. Concept cars, if they make it here at all, are all from last season or before. There might be a few cool things, but don't expect to get close to them.

But...if you are on the market for a new car and want a handy place to compare looks, interiors, back seat capacity for tall people, etc., by all means go to the show.

it is more like a large car lot than an auto show, i go every year just to see the cars, but it is nothing like a real auto show
