The reason people race for money is because after you dump 6k into your motor and make you car fast, shit breaks when you go out racing people.
But if your shit breaks while racing, don't you lose? Then you're out whatever it costs to fix your car AND $400.

when you talk to a person you don't know, it would be more worth your while to run then if you had a chance of winning some loot.
Be careful with this.

The reason people race for money is because after you dump 6k into your motor and make you car fast, shit breaks when you go out racing people. I race many friends with fast cars all the time but when you talk to a person you don't know, it would be more worth your while to run then if you had a chance of winning some loot. I know many people with low 11 second stock looking cars that don't even work and make all their money racing for $400. If you can do that 2-3 days a week then who would want to work?
I see the reasonings to run people for money, and my car is fast enough to run people for money. But that does not mean i will do it. Im not willing to throw my money away like that in the chance that i loose. In order to be able to make money from racing people is to keep your setup a complete secret, or lie to people and im not one to do that. If people know what you have they know what your car will run and therefore know if they will beat you or not. Also running people for money causes fights and i do not like being involved in that sort of thing. Id rather just meet up with someone and have a friendly run to see where everyone stands. Im in this as a hobby and for fun, not to make money or try to make it a job?
