You are leaving the S2000 stickers off the rear calipers right? I never liked the way it looked on the rears because of the divet in the middle of the rear. I will say that Steve's look really cool now because he had the stickers on and just covered them up when he repainted his. When you look closely at his calipers you can see the S2000 as kind of a raised engraving under the paint - it looks like it was engraved like that from the factory

 

Can you get clear caliper paint? Like maybe a satin clear finish? I like the stock color of the calipers but I'd like to have a little protection and avoid the corroded look that shows up from time to time...

 

Just put clear coat on it Dave. I think there is a clear paint too - you would have to use a few coats because I doubt there is clear primer around, but it shoud be easy to do.

 

Maybe I could find some "ugly standard caliper color" primer

 

Thanks again for the compliments, I am picky, and way to critical of my work. But I will admit that they look pretty ing good in person too..

The prep work does make a difference, and I could have done much better, but time and this cool weather has me going to fast.

Dave: I clear coated them with high temp clear. I put three coats on after the color and primer. All three high temp 900 degree stuff.

Funny thing is the first two don't look half as good as the last two. EXPERIENCE pays off.

 

Yeap, I thought about it, and if Decalgirl had the small S2000 in the STRAIGHT format I may have put them on the long flat skinny part of the housing. But you are correct they just don't look right with the indentation of the rear caliper bending the logo.
