Poindexter, have you looked at NOVA for classes? What about FairFax County continued education classes? Most of the times the FFX classes are taught by professionals in the industry as opposed to just a teacher.

I'm taking a 3D computer graphics class at Nova right now, its a little slow going, but it was only $225 and once a week fits my schedule. I'm not looking for a certificate or a grade, just training and it works out fine.

Chris
NOVA is a good 3.5 to 4 hours away from me - I'm probably up there a good 5 to 10 times a year, but wouldn't want to do that once a week

I just got off the phone with the local Photoshop instructor for CompUSA and it sounds like he can give me the basics that I want within two classes @ $129 a class (which my company will pay for ), so I think I'm going to give that a try. Gotta run it past the boss Friday....

Thanks for the heads up Chris

I'd love to get an Apple, but can't justify the expense for what I would do with it. I can probably get just as much as I would do out of the PC.

I my iPod though

Anyone use Photoshop Elements 3.0 yet? How is that for a begginer/basic user? I have PS 7.0 and can't tell if Elements is a good addition to it or just a stand alone program

I got elements 3.0 and i say ... yes ... get it.

It makes things so much easier like brushing away blemishes and correcting white balance and if pics are too dark etc.

i would say that it's a stand alone program
