Ouch...I don't want to be pessimistic, but I received the following reply on a position I recently interviewed for within my company...

Dave, I wanted to follow up with you on the status of the Human Resources Manager position. We have extended the posting time for the position, which is resulting in a further delay while additional interviews are being conducted. The estimated timeframe for completing this process has been extended 6 to 8 weeks. Geralyn and I appreciate your patience and apologize for the delay in notifying you of these circumstances. Thank you.

Now I want to interpret that as a "hang in there & sorry its taking so long"...but a nagging part of me interprets that as "we are not finding qualified candidates in-house...so now we're looking outside -- but we'll tell you you don't have the job later" .

I know...don't be negative .

-----------------------------------------------------

On a VERY positive note we have a $$$ agreement with the developer on the land we're interested in. Only thing left here is to receive responses from his firm on particular questions we'd posed in the offer. And I met last night with a resident of the community we'd be purchasing into and actually got a number of my questions answered already . So looks like the land is a "GO!" We'll know for certain probably later this afternoon.

Also found out yesterday that my Racing Hart wheels are ready to be picked up . They've been at Ye Ole Wheel Shop getting completely reconditioned .

Sooooooo, as things "come in threes"...you can imagine when I saw that e-mail from the HR director that I'd been hoping this was the 3rd piece of good news coming in the same week . Oh well...that just means there's still *one more* good thing yet to come this week .

congratulations, Dave. That's real cool. They are probably looking for someone that they can pay less money too. Greddy B@stards!
