Keep checking on E-Bay. I just bought one on E-Bay that is better than a friend of mine bought with their full veilside kit. It is perfect condition. It was on the set of 2F2F as an extra hood.

You better sit down. I got it for $270. Yes $270. Shipped to Tampa for a total of $338.

So keep looking on E-Bay I know that mine was not the first one on there.

So THAT was you??!! $338 shipped is an awesome deal. I saw that listing myself, and almost bid on it, but slipped and forgot to. My loss. Anyway, thx for the tip. I'll keep looking.

BTW: How was the fitment? And how much weight does the new hood shave off??

New Veilside hoods require some prep before they can be painted. There is minimal weight savings as our stock hoods are pretty light. I got mine used and paid less than MSRP and it was already painted. Also, I got the Sparco hood pins in the deal as well.

Good hunting!

Don't know about the fit yet. Car is getting repaired after U-Haul truck hit it. The whole car will be painted at the same time. Still waiting for the heat protective mat to put underneath it. Tampa gets hot especially on a black car with a supercharger close to the hood. The hood looks nice and has all the bolts and front striker for the hood latch so there won't be the need for hood pins.

The hood is very light. Didn't weigh it but you can hold it easily with one hand.

Uhhh, you might want to get hood pins installed anyway. If you look at the hood the only thing holding the latch bracket to the hood is fiberglass. I regularly do excessive speeds... hood pins for sure!

Hood is about same weight as stock; maybe a pound or two lighter. Good luck.
