You should have your plugs pulled and checked out. I would not conclude that a set of new plugs will cure this problem. Only by checking out your old plugs can you verify that they were indeed the cause. But if you feel you must replace them, then just get the stock ones. I'd hate to see you get ones that were 4 times the price and still do nothing to resolve your issues.

The stock plugs are Denso. Not sure of the number but they also carry Iridium plugs. I put a set in and they seem to work very well. Supposedly better than platium. I would call your Honda dealer and then your local parts store but make sure you get the Denso brand.

Your lack of oil wasn't the problem Dean? Did you ever make it to the dealership?

I have a set of spark plugs that were used for 1 week but are in perfect condition. They are iridium plugs, one of the top brands. Make me an offer and they are yours.

Do a search on MAP sensor. I am willing to bet your problem is not plugs.

I am with cdelena on this one. Sounds like a map sensor problem. 8000 to 9000 rpm is such a narrow rpm section for a plug problem.
