With it gutted there is no airflow restriction so you gain more power.

I asked what are the performance gains you experienced and not what the performance gains are in theory. In theory, it would appear to provide performance gains because it is gutted....however, the bottleneck effect makes this theory unlikely because exhaust flow would build up in the cat. That is why I asked what actual performance gains you experienced.

You still gain power regardless, but to use the most out of this gutted high flow cat you will need a 2.75 catback exhaust for a smoother flow.

I was running a 70mm TP with a 60mm single exhaust and i def felt more power top end but will be switching to a 70mm catback soon.

IMO, this part is scrap metal... Sorry :/ Harmonics are soooo important in tuning the S. I only comment because anyone who cares about their fellow S2K drivers would not try n pawn this off to one... Turn it into a table lamp... That would be cool!

Here is an idea, keep your NEGATIVE comments to yourself.

Plus, why are we asking technical questions about items in the classifieds in the first place? Clearly you are not interested in this so why hate? He isn't trying to pawn this off on anyone, there is a customer for ANYTHING. Just because you have no use for it doesn't mean somebody else doesn't.

/rant.

What is your deal? Would it be scrap metal if it was still I high flow cat? No! Its now a test pipe its not a big deal. If you would like to make it into a table lamp you are more than welcome to buy it from me and make one.

Harmonics give me a break! Its called get the air in and get the air out. Real simple! If it flows its fine.
