I am in no way bashing this product, as I myself have the same setup. I just thought you should inform everyone that you can not play on XBOX live with these setups. They can and will disable your XBOX if you try. There are other software downloads that have sites to play online, and even allow online for games that aren't XBOX Live compatiable.

RBC3 is right. I forgot to Mention that. But as rbc said you can connect through a hub and with your computer play games online, even ones that are not xbox live compatiable.

From what I've read about the modded Xboxes isn't there some sort of way to turn the chip on/off to play online?

You can turn the chip off to play, but then you have to actually own a copy of the game. Then that defeats the "Backing up" of the games, and not having to own them anymore. Kind of a catch 22.
