Thumbs down Seibon CF Hood

Hey guys,

Recently rear ended someone and I damaged my hood. I was going to trash it but decided to give it a chance for sale. From what I know it can be fixed but not restored to the Carbon Fiber finish. However, it can be painted over. Other than that the rest of the hood has no other damage, besides from the natural yellowing from the factory gel clear coat. Here are some close up shots of the damage.

Prefer local pick up. Will ship if buyer pays for all shipping costs.

Well according to those numbers, if someone wanted to paint their new cf hood that would be 250 on top of 400-500. So totals out to 650-750. I priced the hood at 130 OR BEST OFFER. Motivated to sell. Just need this hood out.

A new cf hood would cost 400-500 new, I didn't mean buy a cf hood and paint it. I meant the cost of everything would equal the value of a new cf hood. Either way the repair of ur damaged hood would obviously need paint to hide the repaired area so ur price is a little high for the average person who will send it to repair. I myself can repair it and get it painted for less since I work with Fiberglass carbon fiber. Maybe if u lower price more I'm sure someone that knowS how to do bodywork can be a good deal for them.

Here's my point if someone would want a PAINTED CF hood it would cost only 500 dollars compared to a NEW PAINTED CF hood for 650-750 (In relation to your numbers). Regardless no one would know it was new or not if its freshly painted. The paint will say its a regular hood. But what may matter to the buyer, perhaps a lighter "OEM" hood.

Forum rules states that I must post a price, which I did. I don't know what the true value of an item in this condition would be. Therefore I put a value to it with OR BEST OFFER. Like I mentioned before I was going to trash this. I just thought maybe someone on this forum could put this to use instead of being a waste.

Not necessarily for people who track their cars. If it was vented it would be picked up fast, even with the damage. Regardless, go back and read the FS forum rules.

Specifically #5: Negative comments about a person or their parts will be edited/deleted; this includes "helpful" pricing advice.
