Excuse the title. I can't edit it. That's what I get for posting @ 2:41AM.
My friends and I are parting out my 2001 S2000. We are starting with the engine on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW
The engine is still in the car and the car still drives. You are welcome to come check it out in the Austin area.
Send an email to my01s2000@hotmail.com for questions.
Look for more parts soon.
Thanks,
Dave

$5500 is pretty steep for a 42k mileage swap. There is practically no use for a S2000 engine, other than in another S2000..... a few people have tried Super 7's or other RWD cars, but not many.
I think on this board people got down to about $3500 for engine/trans swaps..
goodluck.

Once again sorry about the S20000 title. If I had an S20000 for sale, trust me it would be much more expensive.
There is actually a lot of S2000 engines being sold on ebay (I was surprised). I don't know where they are going, or where they came from, but they are being bought and sold. We have been watching over the past couple weeks. Most of the engines sold have similar miles and are selling for similar prices.
You can email us @ my01s2000@hotmail.com with questions or as an alternate bidding location. If no one wins the ebay, we'll see if an emailed price is acceptable.
Not bashing the competition (seriously), but just reflecting...
Most all of them we saw were from companies and had no history of the engine. The engines were sitting out of the car and the information presented was usually inaccurate. For example, many said 2.2L, 9K RPM S2000 engine, when they were 2001 engines and clearly not a 2004 by the picture. They commonly say the engines are iVTEC, etc. One also says 2.2L straight from Japan with up to 65K miles on it. I thought the Japan 04 still has a 2.0L. Isn't that correct? Does the japanese S2000 have english badging (VTEC, etc...)?
Thanks,
Dave
