yeah i've actually installed these on the stock 16" rims and the clearence was super close so i hurried to upgraded to 17" wheels. You might be able to fit it under 16" wheels like i did, and drive around for awhile like i did, but the clearence is super slim. For peace of mind, I felt better when i changed to 17" wheels. This will clear 17" wheels, no problem.

sorry i never took pix, but it was only clearing by a few mm's. i drove around that way for awhile tho.
