Could I just drop this in and go with stock ctsc, or would it need to be tuned right away?

you need to find the correct calibrations for your own car, i would advise against putting it in without a tuner. try to find the base s2000 map with the correct injector sizing, that should run the CTSC like a stock setup. it would serve just as a means to get to your tuner.
