Ztec Industries - Intake Heatshield: $115 (shipped)
it's in like new condition (seriously), and only been used for 1,500 miles (maximum). it's also got the newer version of the mounting bracket on it too, which is much much sturdier than the older one. i know how the older one was a lot thinner and less sturdy 'cause i had that one on my last s2000. this intake heatshield works really well on long arm intakes like the injen (both), aem (both), 4ig, comptech, turbo filter's, etc. i no longer have those kinda intakes on my car, so i don't think it serves as much of a purpse as it used to (when i had the aem). a brand new one from rick's signature accessories will cost $146 (shipped). here are the pictures of the heatshield off of the car:
here's a link to rick's signature accessories' ztec industries page: http://www.ricks2k.com/products/ztec.php
please PM me if you have any questions .

The Heat shield is well made with several layers of real carbon fiber Or carbon/kevlar and a high heat resin, then lined on the back with an aluminized barrier before the mounting bracket is attached. The aluminized barrier is a combination of a highly flexible, lightweight fiberglass and an aluminized layer of reflective foil that will reflect up to 1000 degrees F and protect against a continuous temperature of 400 degrees F, which is much hotter than the temperature of the engine surface. Having a heat shield improves power by providing a thermal barrier between the head and the intake, thus removing heat from the intake and lowering its temperature. An intake heat shield will help keep your intake air box (factory or aftermarket) cooler. Tests run on an S2000 show that the outside of the head is on average 179 degrees F and can become even hotter, given that the coolant can get as hot as 200 degrees F. Having the heat shield provided a 6o degree reduction in temperature on a stock air box.

Bump for a GREAT product. I have one and love it. Is there a dyno for it... no. Once you have it, do you get less heat bog... yes; especially for the Comptech, PRM, RAM type intakes.
Good luck with the sale!
