what other mods did you have on your S before the exhaust, because my car is clean stock except for the comptech intake and im not sure if im ready to get an exhaust yet...thanks...
On another note, I had the car in a paint shop to repair two rock chips and while it was there they sprayed a strong chemical degreaser on all four wheels . . . and then it looked like they didn't rinse them off.
Short version the wheels and lug nuts are all stained and streaked.
The shop has ordered new wheels and lugs so when those arrive I will be putting those up for sale.
The wheels are 17" x 7.5" +50 front and 17" x 9.0" +63 rear. The tires I have are Falken Azenis RT-615's 225/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear.
Anyway just thought I would post the wheel info since they should be here in about 7 weeks or so.
Thanks,
Bob

I have an R1 titan on my evo, I have drove the car twice... I am thinking about taking it off if it doesn't get quieter.
Wow, now I've got a question for you. After selling my S2000 I am now driving my '03 Evo VIII again. The only mods are an APS cold air intake, Greddy 80mm ti catback exhaust and 18" Advan RG wheels.
The question I have is about the R1 you have on the Evo, is it really that loud with the Amuse exhaust?
I never run the silencer in the Greddy and although it is really loud (and toneless, sounds like a motor boat) at an idle, it is really very quiet when driving the car.
I have heard it when my Son has driven the car and it really isn't all that loud outside.
I was just wondering since I was considering getting an Amuse for the Evo. The workmanship on those things is just outstanding.
The Greddy catback is 80mm piping with no resonator, just the muffler at the rear.
Also on the Greddy exhaust I machined up a steel spacer that goes between the two sections of the exhaust to move the tip back about 1.25".
It now gets no soot on the bumper like it used to.
Thanks,
Bob
Here's the spacer I made up . . .

No, its not that loud to be honest. When I was at hartman motor picking up my car after the install, there were some STIs there. Their cars were on, I could barely hear mine at all. At that moment, I thought it was too quite. But I can hear the exhaust more when I am in the car because the insulation is so minimal in the RS, its a little too loud for me. I am also running Jspeed d/p with an Apexi cat, so that might have increased the volume. I am pretty sure I am going to sell mine, it has a full blue canister and a clean tail.
