FS: 4.77 gears with pumpkin and more PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING GEARS
hello, i am selling the whole rear end with the 4.77 gears already installed. i bought these gears from TOPFUEL couple of months ago. when i bought the gears he said its in perfect condition. when i had the rear diff installed i used NEO Syntactic oil, which my mech said its really good. when we test drove it i heard this winding noise from the rear. when i ask topfuel about the noise and he blamed the oil that i used the in rear was the problem. i asked him for a refund but he refused. i asked couple members on the board and they told me couple of thing thats causing the winding noise. one, i should different oil. two, theirs a chipped tooth. three, their richmond gears and they make those sounds.
i recommended a buy who REALLY knows about the rear end or if you know someone who can do the rear end for you.
the gears do work but it just make this winding noise. they defiantly pick up more power then the shocks so im assuming theirs nothing wrong with the gears but im not forsure 100%.
if u want a pic i can send it to u but its like any other pumpkin.
i drove the three times until i came with the decision to go back to my old stock pumpkin.
if you need a pumpkin to mess around with, this is your item. if u want to keep your stock pumpkin and put in new gears in side the pumpkin, this is for you.
keep in mid the pumpkin works, but it just makes a winding noise. i do not want to spend anymore $$$ trying to fix it. that is why im asking a buyer who knows whole alot about gears.

i also have the oem windscreen, just the plastic part for sale. not the bracket, just the plastic piece.
i have two branf new interior red plastic clips. the pieces that hold the center console.

most likely a problem with the backlash setting. You can't really say what condition the gears are in till the diff is take out and the gears inspected. The gears could be damaged.... info a potential buyer should know.
