I am selling a countersunk aluminum shift knob out of a MY01 S2k. The knob is in very good condition with no marks or scratches other than the typical minor ones from daily use. The shift pattern paint is perfect, no fading or wear.
This shift knob feels great, you get the benefits of aftermarket countersunk knobs with the benefits of the look and feel of the stock knob.

countersunk means that the thread inside the knob is deeper, thus, the knob itself sits a tad bit lower than the OEM shift knob. i have a spoon countersunk knob and i believe it is 10mm countersunk, meaning it sits 10mm lower than the original shift knob.. you really feel the difference between throws though, the shifts feel a lot quicker and almost have like a mini-short shifter feel to it.

Nope, when tapping this knob I did it so it sits with the shift pattern perfectly straight. I'd assume it should be the same for all S2k's, but if its not all you need is one drop of blue Loc Tite (red bottle) and it won't move at all on you (I used this method with a previous knob and no matter how hard I drove it never came loose, but when I wanted to remove it all it took was a good twist).

I don't now exactly, but its lower than 10mm. It have it drilled the whole way through so I'd say its closer to 20mm. I have gotten numerous compliments on it, its a great height.

the aluminum one is by far the best feeling oem shift knob!
I couldn't agree more! I like the feel much better than the MY02+ leather-wrapped knob; the solid aluminum feels a lot more solid and direct, especially when countersunk.
