It goes over it .... the black piece in the AP1 rears are part of the rear bumper as one piece; not separate pieces.

Bump for a nice piece at a great price!Looks great & it's only a few $$ more than the ABS plastic ZTEC Exhaust cap i just got(which is REALLY NICE,too!)Wish i'd seen yours first!Who makes it?
